What Oklahoma students are saying

Passed Oklahoma Adjuster

“No fluff. Straight to what shows up on the Oklahoma adjuster exam. Worth it.”
Nick B. — Tulsa, OK

Passed Oklahoma Adjuster

“Oklahoma doesn't require a pre-licensing course, so I almost tried to study on my own. Glad I didn't. This prep covered the state-specific statutes and unfair claims settlement practices that actually showed up. Took the exam and passed on the first attempt.”
Aaron C. — Tulsa, OK

Passed Oklahoma Adjuster

“The practice exams felt like the real test. I kept missing questions on cancellation/nonrenewal and proof of loss until I used this. Once those clicked, the rest of the exam was manageable.”
Ebony W. — Tulsa, OK

Passed Oklahoma Adjuster

“Studied after work for a few weeks. The explanations after each missed question helped a lot. Enjoyed the Study Express game, but I wish it had better graphics. Ultimately, I walked into the testing center confident and passed the Oklahoma adjuster exam.”
Autumn B. — Tulsa, OK

Passed Oklahoma Adjuster

“I needed the Oklahoma Property & Casualty Adjuster license and didn't want to sit through a long classroom course since the state doesn't require one. This program was focused: licensing requirements, Oklahoma statutes, auto laws, property and casualty policies, and claims handling. The practice tests were the most useful part. I passed on the first try and didn't feel blindsided by the state-specific questions.”
Brent H. — Oklahoma City, OK

Passed Oklahoma Adjuster

“The difference for me was how well it covered Oklahoma-specific material — Unfair Claims Settlement Practices Act, proof of loss rules, and adjuster licensing statutes. A lot of generic insurance courses skip that. I used the quizzes until I was consistently scoring high, then took the exam and passed. Would recommend to anyone getting their OK adjuster license.”
Kyle A. — Edmond, OK

How insurance licensing works in Oklahoma

Getting an Oklahoma insurance license means passing the state exam for your line of authority and then applying for the license through the Oklahoma Insurance Department (OID). Producer lines — Life & Health, Property & Casualty, and Life Only — and the Property & Casualty Adjuster license each have their own exam covering both general insurance concepts and Oklahoma-specific law.

The exam itself is administered by PSI, not by OID and not by any course provider. It is scored in two independently graded sections: a general knowledge portion and an Oklahoma law portion. You have to pass both. A pre-licensing course is not a state-mandated hour requirement for Oklahoma's producer lines, but the exam draws heavily on Oklahoma statute and rule, so state-specific preparation matters.

The typical path: work through a course built around Oklahoma's own requirements, drill timed practice exams until you are consistently scoring well above the pass mark, schedule and sit the real exam with PSI, then submit your license application through NIPR or OID once you pass.

Oklahoma licensing questions

Who administers the Oklahoma insurance licensing exam?+

PSI administers all Oklahoma insurance producer and adjuster exams at its test centers and online. You schedule and pay for the exam directly through PSI — it is separate from any pre-licensing course.

Do I have to take a pre-licensing course before the Oklahoma exam?+

Oklahoma does not mandate a fixed number of pre-licensing education hours for its producer lines, so you can sit the exam without a course. In practice most people do prepare with one, because roughly half the exam is Oklahoma-specific law that is hard to pick up cold.

How is the Oklahoma exam scored?+

Each exam has a general knowledge section and an Oklahoma law section that are graded separately, and you must pass both. Failing one section means retaking the whole exam.

Is the PassReadyPro course specific to Oklahoma?+

Yes. The state-law lessons and practice questions are written against Title 36 of the Oklahoma Statutes and the Oklahoma Insurance Department's rules for each license line, not a generic national template.

What do I do after I pass the exam?+

Submit your license application through NIPR or the Oklahoma Insurance Department, complete any required background check, and — before you can actually place business — get an appointment from each insurer you represent.
