What Arizona students are saying

Passed Arizona Life

“The exam is 100 questions and moves fast. This prep helped with provisions, beneficiaries, and the state-law section. Explanations after missed questions were more useful than rereading a book.”
Tyrone S. — Queen Creek, AZ

Passed Arizona Life

“I needed something focused on the Arizona Life outline, not a generic national course. Highly recommend!”
Nate W. — Surprise, AZ

Passed Arizona Life

“What helped most was how it treated Arizona-specific material. A lot of generic life courses skip that.”
Juan P. — Tempe, AZ
“Worth every dollar. I was struggling on my own and this course got me over the line.”
Tyson C. — Broken Arrow, OK
“Great structure. I liked that I could study in short sessions and still make progress. The flashcards and quizzes helped more than the long lectures I tried before. Highly recommend if you need something focused.”
Tyrese G. — Moore, OK
“Customer support answered questions quickly, which mattered when I got stuck. Materials were up to date and the practice tests built my confidence going into exam day.”
Bob D. — Enid, OK

How insurance licensing works in Arizona

An Arizona insurance license requires passing the state exam for your line of authority and then applying through the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions (DIFI). Life & Health, Property & Casualty, and Life Only each have a separate exam covering general insurance principles alongside Arizona law and regulation.

PSI administers the Arizona exams — you book and pay for your seat through PSI directly, independent of any course. The exam is built from a published content outline, and the Arizona-law material is drawn from Arizona Revised Statutes Title 20 and DIFI's rules, so preparation that is actually keyed to Arizona is worth more than a generic study guide.

Most candidates follow the same path: study an Arizona-specific course, run timed practice exams until the pass score is routine, schedule the real exam with PSI, then file the license application through NIPR or DIFI after passing.

Arizona licensing questions

Who administers the Arizona insurance licensing exam?+

PSI administers Arizona's insurance producer exams at physical test centers and via online proctoring. Scheduling and exam fees are handled directly through PSI.

Does Arizona require a pre-licensing course?+

Arizona does not impose a set number of pre-licensing education hours for its producer lines, so a course is optional in a legal sense. It is still the practical way most people pass, since a large share of the exam is Arizona-specific.

What is on the Arizona insurance exam?+

Each exam combines general insurance concepts for the line — policy provisions, contract law, coverage types — with Arizona statutes and regulations covering licensing, marketing conduct, and consumer protections.

Is the PassReadyPro course specific to Arizona?+

Yes. The state-law lessons and questions are written against Arizona Revised Statutes Title 20 and DIFI's rules for each line, not a shared national course with the state name swapped in.

What happens after I pass the Arizona exam?+

Apply for the license through NIPR or DIFI, clear the required background check, and obtain a carrier appointment for each insurer you plan to represent before writing business.
